RESEARCH
Research creates knowledge most needed to understand the delicate ecological relationships within the forests we work with. A good understanding of biodiversity lets us make the right choices that lead us to the sustainable use and the conservation of the natural resources.
Since 1978 this has been our principle, leading and supporting scientific research at our work stations in the mountain forests of Machu Picchu and the Tambopata rainforests, promoting research among young researchers and encouraging scientific work at national universities.
OUR PROGRAMS

Our research work is validated by recognized scientists that also develop scientific work at our stations both at Tambopata and Machu Picchu.

Since 1978 ITA develops and supports investigation projects focused on Amazonian and Andean biodiversity.

Infrastructure for research is most needed. Through the Field Station "Casa ITA" at Tambopata and the Orchid Research Center at Machu Picchu, we offer the necessary services to develop field work.

This scholarship promotes new generations of researchers supporting young Peruvian students that develop scientific work at our Field Station "Casa ITA" at Tambopata.
